Thank you for visiting our website. Richard Cohen Dental Office provides general, cosmetic and restorative dentistry services to people of all ages in Rochester, MN.

Office Policy

As a courtesy to all our patients, we call to confirm your appointment two days prior to your scheduled appointment time. If we are unable to get a verbal confirmation or cannot leave a message, your appointment will be cancelled without notice. Please call to update your information including: phone number, address and insurance.

All patients must give a 24 hour notice for cancelled appointments. If you are late or fail your appointment, you may be dismissed from our practice.

If your insurance is INACTIVE when verifying, we will cancel your appointment. We will call to inform you of this and to find out if you have other insurance. We would be happy to see you if you pay for the services that day. We strongly encourage contacting your insurance company for resolution.

While Dr Richard Cohen has lived and practiced in southeastern Minnesota since 2007, he is originally from The Commonwealth of Virginia. As an undergraduate, he attended The College of William and Mary where he concentrated in Biology and History. Following graduation, Dr Cohen volunteered in Israel for a year before returning to The United States in preparation for dental school. Dr Cohen attended The University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine where he earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree. Afterwards, Dr Cohen completed a General Practice Residency (GPR) at The Ohio State University before joining The United States Public Health Service / Indian Health Service (USPHS / IHS) on the Navajo Reservation in northeastern Arizona. Following his time in The USPHS / IHS, Dr Cohen participated in an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency at The University of Tennessee, Memphis. Following his formal education and residencies, Dr Cohen has work in various locations and dental settings, including five years at a Federally Qualified Health Care Center in the Kansas City area. To date, Dr Cohen has over 25 years of dental education and practice.
